Macaulay Langstaff has insisted he would be happy not scoring again this season if it means Notts County winning promotion from the National League.
The Magpies number nine netted his 24th of the campaign against Torquay at the weekend and now needs 17 more to better the 40-goal haul former Dover Athletic man Ricky Miller achieved in the 2016/17 season.
Since arriving from Gateshead in the summer, the 25-year-old has been a revelation at Meadow Lane, hitting 20 goals in a season for the club the first time since Lee Hughes 13 years ago to fire Notts to the National League summit.

His goal at Plainmoor came after an excellent touch and swivel before firing a left-footed effort beyond the grasp of Mark Halstead.
And with the majority of his goals this season coming inside the penalty area, Langstaff rates his strike against Gary Johnson's side as one of his best for Notts.
He explained: "It's definitely up there, the one against Maidenhead also springs to mind and the finish against them was probably a little bit better.
"That one it was all about the movement - I started with the defender and I had to get in front of him to get the touch, but it's up there, definitely in my top three."
The man who provided the assist for Langstaff's first-half strike was Connell Rawlinson, driving forward from the back three before firing the ball into the feet of the Notts number nine.
It's been a stop-start season for the experienced defender having suffered two injuries that have seen him miss large parts of the campaign. But his introduction into the side following his latest setback has seen Luke Williams' side win all three of those encounters, deputising well for the injured Richard Brindley who is expected to return this weekend for the trip to the Technique Stadium.
"He has been unbelievable since I have come here," Langstaff said when asked about Rawlinson's recent form.
"The game on Saturday was what he is all about, putting his head in front of things. He is a massive character and the lads respect him so much, and you saw on Saturday that he was like a warrior - the game suited him and he has been brilliant since he has come back.
"That's what we have at the moment, if a lad gets injured someone has to come in and do a good job. We need that competitiveness across the whole squad."
Having already broken one personal record this season after winning back-to-back National League Player of the Month awards in August and September, another personal accolade is not beyond the realms of possibility for Langstaff.
His 24th goal of the campaign leaves him on target to better Miller's total, but it is not his priority. His focus is on the bigger picture with Notts fighting it out with Wrexham at the top of the table.
"There are obviously bigger objectives, the main one being promotion," Langstaff explained. "Personal achievements would be nice and achieving that (record) would be unbelievable, but I don't really care about that too much as long as we get promoted.
"I wouldn't care if I didn't score another goal for the rest of the season if it meant we get promoted. That's just how I feel - it's a bonus if you break those records, so I don't focus on them too much. I want to get promoted, I want to win the league, that is the main objective."
