Sections of slip roads on motorways through Falkirk will be closed at various times during April, June and August as the annual grass cutting season gets underway.
A series of short-term slip road closures will be required on the M9 and M876 for the safety of operatives working next to the carriageway, where the grass verge is either too small to accommodate cutting tractors, or too long to warrant laying out cones along the entire length.
These closures will last approximately one hour each and will take place at night between the hours of 10:30pm and 6:30am.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: "We’re starting our annual programme of grass cutting on the motorways in South East Scotland.
"This will improve the look and feel of the network during the summer months.
"We always avoid closing roads wherever it is safe and practical to do so, however there are a number of locations where short-term slip road closures are necessary for the safety of our operatives.
"We’ve scheduled the works so that these closures are kept to a minimum and will take place overnight."
