A crash on the M8 motorway outside Glasgow has sparked large traffic queues and a warning to drivers.
The road traffic accident took place on the M8 E/B at Harthill services between Junction 5 (Shotts) and Junction 4a (Heartlands) around 6:25am this morning.
Traffic Scotland issued an alert advising that the motorway was currently restricted and that drivers using the motorway heading east should use caution on approach. Police are en route to the scene.

Traffic information site INRIX are reporting that one lane of the motorway is currently blocked, with queueing traffic and congestion back to Junction 6 (Newhouse).
They are also reporting delays of around 40 minutes for drivers heading eastbound.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
UPDATE: All lanes have reopened, with slow traffic being reported.
