THE ROAD HAS NOW RE-OPENED FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT.
A "POLICE incident" on the M8 near Glasgow Airport has closed the motorway in both directions.
Drivers can expect delays on the motorway near junction 27 Paisley on Tuesday morning.
Traffic Scotland first reported the incident at around 6.14am and they issued an update at 7.11am that the incident was cleared.
However, they have said commuters will still face "very lengthy" delays as traffic returns to normal.

Buses could also face delays this morning, as Stagecoach said that services have been affected by the closure.

One driver said on social media: "I’m currently at a standstill on the St James slip road before the airport. Been here for 30 mins so far."
Another said: "Queues are already building."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
