Officers from Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit made an arrest on Monday night (January 17) after a male driver tested positive for cannabis on a DrugWipe test.
The vehicle was initially stopped after police clocked it at 93mph (pictured below) on the Eastbound carriageway of the M62.
The driver was then tested due to his vehicle smelling strongly of the drug.
"He was arrested and faces an uncomfortable wait to see whether the level of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is over the legal limit," said the force on its Twitter page.
