The motorway will be shut in both directions between junctions 19 and 21 on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, with the closure taking effect between 10pm and 5am.
Work is being carried out by the National Grid as part of the Hinkley Connection projection, which will deliver home grown low-carbon energy to six million homes and businesses across the South West.
