A number of road closures will take place along the M4 near Newport from Monday, January 31.
Areas of Newport, Cardiff and Swansea are likely to be affected due to a number of overnight road closures along the M4 this week.
It comes after roadworks caused disruption along several junctions of the road last week. Those who are travelling late at night or commuting early in the morning are likely to be most impacted by the works.
Here are the M4 closures planned this week.
- M4 eastbound, junction 32 : The entry slip road to the M4 eastbound at junction 32 Coryton will be closed overnight until Saturday, February 5, between 8pm and 6am. This is in order to carry out maintenance work.
- M4 westbound, junction 23 : The M4 will be shut between the Prince of Wales Bridge and junction 23 Rogiet between 9pm and 6am on Monday, January 31, and Tuesday, February 1 (reopening 6am on February 2). This is to allow maintenance work to take place.
- M4 westbound, junction 48: The entry slip road to the M4 at junction 48 Hendy will be closed overnight from Monday, January 31, until Friday, February 4. The road will be shut each night between 8pm and 6am until that date to facilitate clearance work.
- M4 westbound, junction 22: The M4 westbound entry slip at junction 22 will be closed on Tuesday, February 1 from 10pm until 6am on Wednesday, February 2 in order to allow roadworks to take place.
