M&S shoppers go wild for £15 Harry Potter Golden Egg replica that they 'need'

With Easter approaching, you may have spotted delicious chocolate themed eggs popping up on supermarket shelves this week.

But, there’s one particular egg which is sending Harry Potter fans into a frenzy and we can’t wait to get our hands on it too.

Marks and Spencer’s ‘golden egg’ is a replica of the iconic magical object found in the fourth film of the hit franchise - The Goblet of Fire - as fans will recognise it as the snitch that Harry had to retrieve during the Triwizard tournament.

Foodies will get to tuck into a hollow white chocolate Easter egg with a shimmer finish for a magical effect.

The egg is available in M&S stores now, and one savvy shopper has already posted a snap of the egg and shared it to popular Facebook page Newfoodsuk.

Since sharing the magical discovery, the egg post has received a whopping 1.9k comments from Harry Potter fans and Newsfoodsuk has also shared the post on its Instagram page which boasts 268k followers.

The caption on the post reads: “New Harry Potter Golden Egg now available at M&S!”

One eager shopper tagged a friend and said: “We need this for Easter”

Another fan who has her weekend sorted added: “I’m going to get one Saturday.”

While a third said: A third said: “How freaking cool!” with a loveheart emoji.

Compared to a few golden egg replicas that are priced at around £70, M&S' version is priced at only £15, so you won’t have too much money disappearing from your bank account.
