High street giant M&S has found itself in hot water over the name of a pair of its £39.50 Holly Willoughby jeans.
Marks & Spencer shared a picture of ambassador and ITV This Morning host Holly Willoughby wearing the jeans on its social media channels.
M&S wrote: "@hollywilloughby’s amour? Our classic mom jeans, with an effortlessly flattering fit that will never go out of style."

But while the image was intended to encourage shoppers to buy themselves a pair, many people were left distracted, and some pretty angry, over the name of the jeans.
Sally Ann Pow blasted: "So who are mom jeans designed to fit, mums?"
Karen Thomson Peter questioned: "Mom' jeans?"
Janet Garner replied to her: "It's a universally accepted name for the style although they were originally invented in the US."
Catherine Wood chimed back: "It may be accepted but it is horrible isn't it?"
Christine James continued to explain: "it’s a style of jeans. Like boyfriend or girlfriend jeans."
Karen Thomson hit back: "Yeah, I get that. Just don't get why the Americanised spelling."
Christine replied: "Because that’s how it is. And it’s not Americanised - lots of countries use ‘mom’. It’s not something made up by M&S either."
Michelle Normington pointed out: "Mom is a very common term for mother in Birmingham mid 80s and perhaps earlier. You're welcome."
But while some shoppers continued to argue in the comments, others set out to praise the 'comfortable' £39.50 jeans.
Jane Chambers praised: "Mom Jeans are great! Especially for those of us with adequate bottoms. They are comfortable and flattering. High waisted to accentuate a waistline. Well Done M&S and Holly!!!"
Christine Donson said: "Love the mum jeans in summer with sandals. So comfortable and stay in place."
The jeans are available to buy online and in M&S stores now.
