Lyon want to discuss a new deal with Houssem Aouar after Nottingham Forest's attempts to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Aouar was heavily linked with a move to the City Ground over the summer but there was no late move to the East Midlands for the Lyon midfielder. According to French newspaper L'Equipe, Aouar "reached an agreement" with Forest, but Lyon rejected a trio of bids from Forest for the 24-year-old, the last of those being in the region of €15million.
In an update on Aouar's future, according to Foot Mercato, Lyon want to discuss a new deal with Aouar before January. On the table would be a two-year extension to his current terms.

Aouar has only featured once for Lyon in Ligue 1 so far this term, in a 30 minute cameo during the win over AC Ajaccio on the opening day of the campaign. He since returned to the bench in Lyon's last game, a 2-1 defeat at Monaco.
Forest signed 22 players in the summer to bolster Steve Cooper's squad ahead of the Reds' return to the Premier League. Six of those players were midfielders, with the likes of Jesse Lingard, Morgan Gibbs-White, Orel Mangala, Lewis O'Brien, Remo Freuler and Cheikhou Kouyate all joining the club.
