London luxury shoe brand Manolo Blahnik has boosted its presence in Asia with a new joint venture and store opening in Hong Kong.
The label, founded by the 81 year old Spanish footwear designer in 1971 has signed a partnership deal with luxury brand distributor Bluebell Group.
It follows other tie-in between the two companies since 2016 in countries such as Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
The deal came into force on Friday when a new Manolo Blahnik boutique in the Lee Gardens shopping mall in the Causeway Bay shopping district.Two further stores are planned for this year including one in the Pacific Place shopping centre scheduled for the final quarter of the year, with a further location yet tobe announced.
The look of the Lee Gardens boutique was inspired by the brand’s outlet in Burlington Arcade in Mayfair but “with a vibrant twist of the orient through the addition of a silk colour gradient lining on the shelving.
