The opportunity for the 24-year-old Swede to get some extra running for the early part of this week – Monday and Tuesday, specifically – came about after hopes for track time in last month’s Daytona 24 Hours fell through.
Although Lundqvist has put in a significant amount of time in the simulator, he noted it is limited by Honda and that the focus is usually over run plans and various setup concepts by the Ganassi engineers.
