PITHORAGARH: In the wake of the lumpy skin disease scare, the district administration has placed a ban on bringing cows to Pithoragarh from Nepal, as well as from other states and districts.
The police teams have been directed to set up barriers. District authorities stated that cows have been infected with the disease in plain districts and thus the ban has been brought into effect.
The move has come in the wake of the adjoining districts of Uttar Pradesh and some plain and hill districts of Uttarakhand, being affected by the lumpy skin disease in cattle.
