Lulu gives special performance as Graham Norton marries partner in Ireland

Graham Norton has tied the knot with his partner at a special ceremony in Ireland, as the two were serenaded by Scots singer Lulu.

The BBC talk show host celebrated his wedding in his native west Cork with around 120 guests in attendance. Keeping with the theme of the low key and hush hush bash, Graham's husbands identity still remains as a mystery as he opts to keep his love life out of the spotlight.

Tight-lipped security were under orders to give nothing away but as reported in the Mirror, the couple toasted their marriage with a big party at Bantry House which was closed to the public for the event. He followed that with by another more relaxed affair at his home by the harbour, near the tiny village of Ahakista.

Scottish singer Lulu was amongst those attending the bash and she is understood to have performed in front of the star's friends and family. Alongside Lulu, there are reports that drag queen Panti Bliss performed a DJ set.

Lulu shared some pictures of herself walking around the stunning grounds on Instagram on Monday. According to the Irish Examiner, a local rector performed a blessing ceremony at the plush venue.

Graham split from music marketing consultant Andrew Smith in 2015. Before that he dated Scott Michaels for five years until 2000 and was in a relationship with Trevor Patterson from 2010 to 2013.

The 59-year-old was last linked to someone who works behind the scenes of his TV show. “They’ve been dating for over a year now,” a source said back in 2018. “Graham is the happiest he has been in years.”

It comes after a string of failed relationships, which Graham has openly talked about in the past. The self-confessed workaholic once said he’d prefer to be on his own.

“You have your own rules as you get older,” he told. “I would prefer to live alone for the rest of my life rather than live with towels that were folded incorrectly.”

Talking about his past loves, he said: “I’ve failed all my relationship exams, and yes it’s a different life, but I’m still living. You’re far better off finding ways to enjoy the life you’re living than mourning the life you’re not, which is a double whammy of unhappiness.”
