Notts County manager Luke Williams was left to rue missed opportunities as his side tasted defeat for the first time in the National League at the hands of Dorking Wanderers.
Two goals in stoppage time from James McShane compounded the Magpies to a 3-1 defeat at Meadowbank Park, with Cedwyn Scott on target for the visitors after McShane had opened the scoring in the 11th minute following a defensive lapse from Sam Slocombe in the Notts goal.
And with both Chesterfield and Wrexham dropping points in their respective fixtures, it was a chance for Williams' side to go top of the table ahead of their trip to York City next week, but instead find themselves in fourth following Solihull Moors' point at home to Barnet.

Notts had a number of golden opportunities during the encounter, with Macaulay Langstaff, Adam Chicksen and Geraldo Bajrami guilty of not doing better in those promising positions.
That being said, it was an inspired performance by Wanderers 'keeper Dan Lincoln, who produced a number of quality saves to keep the scoreline level when Notts were at their most dangerous.
Despite the defeat, Williams insisted that his side should not be downbeat by the result but explained the way in which his side conceded the final two goals will leave a sour taste on a disappointing afternoon in Dorking.
"It is very disappointing, we started poorly in terms of conceding a very soft goal," explained Williams.
"When we brought the score back to 1-1, we would go on and win the game, but too many squandered chances and in the end, some the defending is disappointing.
"I don't think we need to be completely deflated, I think we competed well in the game for the majority and apart from the closing stages of the game which were dreadful.
"It will give us a bad taste in our mouth but for 90 minutes, it was a very tough game, and we didn't manage to get in our flow.
"It was uncomfortable for us for the whole game but even with that uncomfortable threat, we created enough chances so, I don't think we can be too deflated.
"We have to pick ourselves back up to try and win the next game."
