Luke McCowan in hilarious McDonald's quip following Celtic switch

Luke McCowan had lifted the lid on his first couple of weeks as a Celtic player.

And the midfielder has joked that he has to remain professional as ever - as he can no longer get away with a sly visit to McDonald's without being noticed.

The creative player was Brendan Rodgers' final deadline day signing, as the Scottish Premiership champions pinched him from Dundee for £1m.

McCowan made his debut for his boyhood club two days later as he came off the bench during Celtic's resounding 3-0 victory over Rangers before the international break.

"You're a lot more in the media, as I'm doing now, or more on the frontline with what aspect.

"I can't just pull outside McDonald's and get away with it - I'm getting spotted off wee guys and I've got to show I'm a true professional. I'm only getting a fruit bag here and whatever!

McCowan will be aiming to be involved this weekend as Celtic host Hearts on Saturday at 3pm.
