When Is Luke Littler Playing His First Match?
The 2025 World Darts Championship is upon us, with the action already underway at the famous Alexandra Palace in London. Reigning champion Luke Humphries has already booked his place in Round 3, as has former winner Gerwyn Price. But when is pre-tournament favourite Luke Littler set to begin his campaign?
‘The Nuke’ is set to take to the Alexandra Palace stage for the first time at the 2025 World Darts Championship on Saturday, December 21. Littler will be playing the last game of the evening on Saturday, and will take on the winner of the Fallon Sherrock vs Ryan Meikle Round 1 tie.
This time last year Littler was a relative unknown, but fast forward to now and the best UK betting sites are expecting him to go all the way and even win the coveted Sid Waddell Trophy this time around.

Will Luke Littler Win The 2025 World Darts Championship?
It is impossible to predict whether or not Luke Littler will win the 2025 World Darts Championship or not.
However, it is worth noting that he is a pre-tournament favourite, ahead of the likes of Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Michael Smith amongst others.
Humphries is the defending champion of course and current world number one, but it is ‘The Nuke’ who is fancied by the best UK sports betting apps to go on and lift the Sid Waddell Trophy come the New Year.
Whether Littler does just that and goes all the way remains to be seen, but it would certainly take a brave person to bet against him. He has the world of darts at his feet right now, and could most definitely win the Worlds this year, despite being just 17-years-old.
