Former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has ruled out the prospect of being reunited with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
Messi confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that he will join Inter Miami this summer after his dream of a return to Barcelona became unworkable. The Argentina great spent 21 years with the Catalan giants before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 because of the club's financial difficulties.
Speaking on Wednesday, Messi admitted that he "really wanted" to return to the Nou Camp until uncertainty over Barcelona’s financial position put him off. He also rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia in order to join David Beckham’s club.
"I made the decision that I am going to go to Miami," Messi said in a joint interview with Mundo Deportivo and Sport. "I still haven’t closed it 100 percent. I’m missing some things, but we decided to continue on the path.

"If the Barcelona thing didn’t work out, I wanted to leave Europe, get out of the spotlight, and think more in my family. I really wanted I was very excited to be able to return [to Barcelona], but after having experienced what I experienced and the exit I had, I did not want to be in the same situation again — waiting to see what was going to happen."
And in the days that followed the confirmation that Messi would be playing in Major League Soccer, rumours began to surface linking Suarez, who scored 82 times in 133 games for the Reds, with a reunion with the forward in Miami.
But Suarez, reacting to the rumours, has now claimed that he will remain in Brazil after committing to a two-year contract at Gremio.
“This is false, it is impossible,” he told El Observador. “I am very happy at Gremio and I have a contract until 2024.”
Suarez was part of the famous 'MSN' Barcelona front three, along with Messi and Neymar, who scored 363 goals and made 272 assists between them in 451 games, winning seven trophies.
