Colombian striker Luis Muriel has officially announced his departure from Italian club Atalanta to join MLS side Orlando City. Muriel's contract with Atalanta was due to expire at the end of June, making his move to the United States imminent. The former Sevilla and Udinese star took to Instagram to bid farewell to Atalanta and express his gratitude to the fans.
In a heartfelt video message, Muriel thanked the Atalanta faithful for the incredible four and a half years he spent in Bergamo. He stated, 'Bergamo will always remain in my heart, like a second home.' The striker also expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of affection and support he received, stating, 'Thank you for all the messages of affection these days, and I hope you will follow me with the same kindness in my new adventure in Orlando.'
