The state case against Luigi Mangione in New York is set to move forward before the federal trial, as confirmed by prosecutors. Acting US Attorney Edward Kim announced the order in a news release on Thursday. Specific details regarding the timing of the cases have not been disclosed.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office released a statement indicating that they are collaborating with federal partners to determine the scheduling and logistics of the two cases. Bragg mentioned during a separate news conference that state and federal prosecutions have previously run concurrently, and discussions are ongoing with law enforcement partners.
