Germany’s Lufthansa airline has announced the extension of its suspension of flights to the capitals of Iran and Lebanon due to the security situation in the region. Flights to Tehran and Beirut will remain canceled up to and including April 30, as stated in a Wednesday announcement by Lufthansa. The airline also mentioned that it would continue to avoid using Iranian airspace until the end of the month.
Lufthansa emphasized that it is continuously monitoring and assessing the security situation in the Middle East and maintaining close contact with the authorities. Last week, Lufthansa initially suspended flights to Tehran and has now extended this suspension once again.
