LUDHIANA: At least three people tested positive for Covid-19 in the district on Sunday. No new deaths were reported due to the viral infection.
On Saturday also, the city registered three positive cases and zero fatalities due to the infection.
The health department officials said that with no Covid deaths reported from Ludhiana on Sunday, the total number of deaths in the district remained at 2,279 whereas 1,125 out of district/state deaths have been reported in Ludhiana hospitals till now.
The officials added that till date 34,10,988 suspects have been tested for Covid in the district.
Those who tested positive in the district on Sunday include two residents and an outsider.
They further said that till Sunday the total number of Covid patients from Ludhiana district stood at 1,09,775 whereas the number of cases from outer districts/states stood at 14,739.
A civil surgeon said that till now 1,07,482 Covid patients have recovered in the district which constitutes 97.91% of the total cases.
