Ludhiana: MC earns Rs 2 crore as 5,000 clear property tax dues on last day

LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana municipal corporation earned over Rs 2 crore in a day as over 5,000 people turned up to file property tax, water supply and sewerage dues on the last day at the MC suvidha centres on Thursday.

However, officials in MC zone B also sealed six properties from where property tax had been pending for long. The owners paid Rs 29.5 lakh on the spot after which the seal was opened.
