LUDHIANA: A resident of Ludhiana died of Covid and 39 tested positive here on Wednesday. Besides, nine patients from outside the district too were confirmed here to have contracted the virus.
With this, the district’s toll tally has increased to 2,292 and that of outsiders here is 1,127.
To date, 36,93,547 samples have been tested.
The district’s case count is 1,10,396 and that of outsiders here is 14,811.
So far, 1,07,897 patients have recovered, which constitutes 97.74% of the total cases.
There are 207 active cases. On the day, the number of samples taken was 4,476.
