Former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh has confirmed she's going to give reflexology a try to induce labour, as she prepares to give birth to her second child.
Lucy, 30, asked fans on her Instagram stories to suggest the best ways she can help speed up the process, and she later revealed she booked a reflexology session.
The idea behind reflexology is that the feet mirror the body - essentially by pressing points on the feet it will work to stimulate different parts of the body.
It's reported that you can undergo reflexology treatments when you pass the 38-week mark of pregnancy, and techniques will be used to stimulate the uterus and ovary reflexes.
The treatment also works to encourage the production of Oxytocin, which will help to bring on labour naturally.
A few days ago the mum-to-be shared a picture of her huge baby bump as she revealed she and her partner, Ryan Thomas, are on standby to welcome their new baby girl.
Lucy was glowing as she showed off her bump wearing a perfect-for-summer floral dress and black shades, while her partner looked cool in sunnies and shorts.
The reality TV star and actor already have one little one Roman, two, and Ryan is also father to daughter Scarlett, 13, from his previous relationship with soap star Tina O'Brien.
The couple's second child is due any day now, and in February the gorgeous couple revealed their new bundle of joy is going to be a girl.
At the time she told Hello! magazine. "Our baby girl is due in late spring – we can't wait."
The blooming mum-to-be also previously spoke about how she and Ryan, 37, already had a long list of names to narrow down before the baby arrived.
She shared: "With Roman, we named him as soon as we found out we were having a boy. I remember we looked at a list and we both pointed to the same name.
"But this time, we have a list of 15 names."
She added: "We may just have to wait to meet her. Nothing in the world beats that moment when you hold your baby for the first time."
It's said Lucy is very excited to be expecting a daughter, as a source previously spoke about how much she wants a "mini-me" as she has developed such a lovely bond with her stepdaughter, Scarlett, in recent years.
Back in November, Lucy announced her pregnancy as she posted an adorable photograph alongside Roman.
She raised her T-shirt to reveal her bump, and little Roman mimicked her by pulling up his jumper too. She wrote: "Here we go again," as she shared the cute snap with her followers.
