Lucy Mecklenburgh says getting glammed up to go out has become a real treat now she's a mum.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star gave birth to daughter Lilah in June, a sister to her two year old son Roman with actor Ryan Thomas, 38.
"Since being a mum I really enjoy the 'getting ready' time," she told the Mirror. "I might not get as long but it's me time, doing my hair and putting my make-up on.
"I don't get to do it every day, there are days I'm in gym kit and no make-up and big sunglasses but when I can I really appreciate it."
Lucy, 30, is the UK haircare ambassador for Remington and loves trying out new styles.
"I grew my hair because of lockdown and not being able to get a haircut," she said.
"I had a bob for so long but I've been able to experiment with up dos and things like that.
"I am a creature of habit, I like my sleek straight look, that glossy shine which their straighteners are brilliant for but I love to change it up and try new things too.
"Day to day I do a messy bun, a mum bun and I wash my hair every four days.
"During the week it's something nice and easy and then at the weekend I might use the wand, wear it down and curly and the next day wear it up in a pony so I've got two looks in one."
The mum of two, who is engaged to former Coronation Street star Ryan keeps her skincare routine simple.
"I'm over 30 now so I probably should be thinking about it but I don't have a huge routine, I don't have the time," she explained.
"I don't have time for a full cleanse, tone, moisturise routine at the moment but I use an oil cleanser called DHC, it's really lovely and you just need a few drops then I'll moisturise with Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base.
"My day to day is probably the NARS tinted moisturiser, it's SPF30 as well and it feels really nice on, it's a little bit more coverage than a normal tinted moisturiser."
And when it comes to shoes, "comfort comes first".
"I have so many heels and it's so sad that they barely move," laughed the star. "No-one actually enjoys wearing heels."
And with a newborn to care for as well as a toddler Lucy, who runs online fitness programme RWL, is easing herself back into exercise.
"I do postnatal pilates and loads of walking," she said. 'I think walking is brilliant after having a baby, sometimes you need that change of scenery and to get some fresh air.
"I love going for a walk in the morning, getting a coffee, calling one of my friends and having a natter.
"As long as the baby stays asleep in the pram it's all good.
"At the moment getting through the night and the day with a large coffee is the goal."
