Lucy Mecklenburgh shares 'demanding' newborn struggles after welcoming baby daughter

Lucy Mecklenburgh has opened up about 'demanding' breastfeeding struggles and her 'nerves' as the new arrival settles in.

The former TOWIE star gave birth to her first daughter two weeks ago and says she and fiancé Ryan Thomas couldn't be happier.

But Lucy, who is yet to announce their little girl's name, has been speaking about the challenges of motherhood.

Balancing the newborn with son Romano, two, isn't easy - and thankfully her dad took him for a day out on Sunday.

"I forgot how demanding the early days of breastfeeding was!" he wrote over a photo of the baby on her Instagram Story.

"I feel like I've been feeding her constantly for 48 hours now. I have soo much to do but too nervous to transfer her into her Moses basket in case she wakes for her next feast!"

She then recorded a video with her daughter getting in a quick nap.

"It has been a long two days with this little one - feeding, feeding feeding!" Lucy added.

"I forgot how hard it was at the beginning. She never seems satisfied.

"She is amazing though, she is worth it - so sending love to all the mummas.

"I keeping thinking about the twin mums, you are super heroes!"

The couple shared the happy news on Instagram late last month as they both posted a black and white photo of their daughter's tiny hand.

And after arriving home from hospital, new mum Lucy delighted her famous friends and followers alike as she shared another image of her newborn daughter.

The former reality TV star shared another close-up snap of her daughter’s hand as she was wrapped up in a pink blanket covered in an adorable teddy bear pattern.

Earlier in her pregnancy, Lucy predicted she was having a baby girl and was left delighted when a scan revealed her predictions were right.
