Actor Lucy Davis shared her new look with fans after months of working out and embracing a healthy lifestyle. Lucy, daughter of comedian Jasper Carrott and one of the stars of hit BBC sitcom The Office, has been working out with personal trainer brother Jake.
Taking to social media to share the picture Lucy wrote: “55lb single arm deadlifts. I can’t get up from my chair. Send help #weightlifting #strengthtraining #womenlifting @jakebodyupgrade.”
Lucy, found fame as Dawn Tinsley in Ricky Gervais ’ BBC Comedy The Office and had roles in The Archers, Wonder Woman and Shaun of the Dead.
One post from February – on her birthday – showed her lifting weights. She wrote: “Sister + birthday = less reps surely? I saw the evil glint in his clown-like eye as he casually made me lift 95 bloody pounds #revengeisgoingtobemine.”
Lucy has previously spoken out about how much younger brother Jake has helped her in recent years, reports The Mirror.
“He has picked me up in some of the hardest times in my life. I’m so lucky to have the family I have, and the fact that Jake lives 4 blocks from me makes me even luckier.
Since moving to Hollywood in 2004, Lucy starred as aunt Hilda Spellman in The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina before landing a role in the 2017 Wonder Woman movie as Etta Candy – one of the most successful films of the year.
She is set to star in upcoming US comedy series Amy from Amarillo, which will air on Disney.
In December 1997, Lucy underwent a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with kidney failure during a medical examination. Her mother donated the kidney. Around Christmas 2005 she was hospitalised once again because of kidney failure, but later recovered. Davis also has type 1 diabetes.
