Lucknow unit of CBI books real estate company for duping bank of Rs 16.8 crore

CBI Lucknow Central Bureau of Investigation Canara Bank

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow unit of Central Bureau of Investigation’s anti-corruption bureau on Friday registered a case against real estate firm, Rohtas Builders, in connection with an alleged fraud worth Rs 16.8 crore.

CBI officials said the firm’s directors secured high credit loan limit from the bank by mortgaging properties which were already sold or mortgaged to other financial institutions.
