Environmental group Lucion Services has acquired Gateshead's Landform Surveys Ltd in an undisclosed deal.
It comes as Lucion has also invested £600,000 in expanding its Team Valley testing laboratory - a move that will create 15 new jobs and allow the firm to analyse more material across a range of industries including environmental, food and pharmaceutical.
Landford Surveys - led by founder and managing director Eric Hinds - will be integrated into Lucion's testing and inspection unit.
