Luca Bish has opened up to fans and revealed he hasn't been "feeling himself" as he made a return to social media today.
The former Love Islander, 23, revealed he had been facing some issues in his personal life as he shared a video of himself on his Instagram story.
In the clip, Luca is sat in a stationery car and wearing a bright orange Essentials hoodie as he opens up to fans.
He says: "Mery Christmas, Merry New Year," with a giggle.
"I'm back," Luca adds. "I haven't been feeling myself I had a few things going in my personal life and family life and just wanted to stay away from socials, not fake it and be around the people that are there for me."
Recently single Luca, who felt 'violated' after his home was broken into recently, continues: "I know you guys are and that's why I'm trying to make an effort now with 2023 here it's an exciting year, there's going to be lots going on.
"I promise I'm gonna be more active. So yeah, he's to '23," he says before the clip ends.
Just a few weeks before Christmas Luca's ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen, who is the daughter of former footie star Michael Owen, announced their break up just three months after leaving the Love Island villa.
In a statement shared on her Instagram story, she wrote: "To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship.
"It wasn't an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for both of us right now.
"Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I wanted to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters."
Shortly later, in a statement shared with the Mirror, Luca shared his shock at Gemma's announcement.
He told us: "I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways.
"We have been on such a journey together and have made some amazing memories which I will treasure. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support for us as a couple during and after Love Island."
Since the break-up Luca has kept tight lipped on how he's been feeling, but Gemma gave fans an insight and admitted she had been going through a "challenging" time.
Gemma told Goss.ie in early December: "These last few weeks, as going through any break up, it’s not nice. It’s not a nice time.
"Having to deal with the press and other people’s opinions, and people thinking that they know what’s going on when they don’t, that’s been challenging."
The pair got together after meeting in the Love Island villa earlier this year. Gemma and Luca's romance lasted less than three months after leaving the Majorcan villa where the ITV dating show is set.
