Luca Bish backtracks on controversial Love Island comments

Love Island's Luca Bish said he was "punching" with partner Gemma Owen despite arguing against the claim on the show.

During the show, Luca ruffled feathers by saying he thought he and Gemma were on an equal playing field appearance-wise. Islanders Paige Thorne and Indiyah Polack slammed the comments and said he was the one punching.

Luca became visibly upset about it despite the islanders being split on their opinions. Viewers watched as he went on a mini tantrum after being told he wasn't as attractive as Gemma and refused to back down despite her also agreeing he was punching.

The 23-year-old appears to have backtracked on his comments weeks later as he's admitted defeat to Gemma. Posting a photo of them together, the caption simply said: "I'm punching."

Fellow islanders were quick to jump to the comment section as they poked fun of his newly formed opinion. Dami Hope said: " Deffo are." Andrew LePage added: "She’s a lucky girl."

Fans also refused to let him live his comments down as one follower said: "Finally!!! You admit it!" Another added: "Should’ve admitted straight away."
