Rejoice, lovers of fried chicken who are getting married!
In a week which has already delivered its fair share of good news thanks to the lovely sunshine, comes this excellent news: you can soon order a wedding cake on Uber Eats that is decorated with fried chicken-inspired decorations.
Even better - it's a cake inspired by Jollibee, a fast-food chain founded in the 1970s in the Philippines.
It's even bigger over there than McDonald's (which is a seriously impressive claim: the Philippines' population is 105 million), famed for its signature fried chicken with spaghetti and tomato sauce.

And now as we enter wedding season, you can include your love of fried chicken with limited-edition wedding cake inspired by Jollibee.
It comes as new survey shows Brits are bored of traditional wedding food, with a third (34%) deciding they won’t be serving a traditional wedding cake after they say 'I do’ because they don’t like the taste.
But fear not - here is a quirky cake that is perfect for the big day designed with fried chicken-inspired decorations, pineapple and mango infused ganache, to fondant french fries.
The tiered cake features a sweet & spicy pineapple and Sriracha sponge, vanilla and ginger flavoured sponge with a mango chilli jam filled centre, topped off with a chocolate and ginger cake.
The limited-edition cakes will be available to order exclusively via the Uber Eats app on 1st July 2022 in London, Leeds and Nottingham.
Customers are advised to order fast if they want a slice of the action, as the cakes are only available while stocks last.
Matthew Price, general manager at Uber Eats UK said: "As wedding season approaches, we know there are many couples wanting to serve up something different to a traditional fruit-based wedding cake.
"It’s also a great opportunity to show off your culinary tastes to your guests; that’s why we’ve teamed up with the much-loved chain Jollibee to create a limited edition run of alternative wedding cakes.”
Ashlee Campbell, head of marketing Jollibee Europe, said: "At Jollibee, we love getting creative with delicious flavour combinations so we were delighted when Uber Eats approached us with the challenge of creating a unique wedding cake.
"Our three-tiered non-traditional wedding cake is perfect for anyone looking for something different to serve their guests on their special day.”
Jollibee is now available for delivery exclusively through the Uber Eats app across the UK.
