A couple in their eighties have married after a real-life 'meet cute' when they ran into each other in a supermarket and traded numbers after crashing their trollies.
Wendy Hazell, 80, a former antique dealer, was single for 32 years before bumping into Paul Hazell, 83, who owned a furniture business, at a Sainsbury's in Matlock, Derbyshire, on December 27, 2021.
Two-time widower Paul recognised Wendy after seeing her eating alone at the restaurant at Audley St Elphin's Park, the retirement village where they both lived, and soon they were planning dinner together the next evening.
