Love Island viewers obsessed over the show's new host, Maya Jama.
The winter series kicked off with the show flying to South Africa alongside a new batch of hopefuls ready to find love. As this year's islanders slowly made themselves at home, viewers' attention was drawn elsewhere, specifically to "the best thing that's ever happened to Love Island."
Maya Jama took over from Laura Whitmore and will present the show going forward. Maya stepped into the position after Laura claimed the role prevented her from doing what she wanted but fans don't seem to mind the change.

The opening scenes saw the presenter in a scarlet red swimsuit which many claimed was unfair to the other girls. Her beauty and overall grace have been commended by Love Island fans who welcomed their new host with open arms.
One viewer said: "Sorry but sod these islanders I’d wanna couple up with Maya Jama." Another added: "Maya Jama... the best thing to happen to Love Island since Maura Higgins."
A third said: "Big up the girls this series because if I was anywhere near Maya Jama my self-esteem would be a big fat ZERO." A final added: "I’m more excited to see Maya Jama than anyone else."
