Love Island viewers beg show to axe 'boring' Islanders after 'ridiculous' scenes

Love Island 2023 viewers have called on the show to ditch one 'storyline', as they call it, in particular.

After repeated drama for weeks, viewers called for the series to stop airing "boring" scenes involving two Islanders.

Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall featured in the big moments yet again on Tuesday night, after the recent recoupling saw Lana ditch Ron for Casey O'Gorman.

But not even a day later, and Lana friend-zoned Casey in favour of trying again with Ron - telling him she would be his wing-woman.

Casey realised she wasn't into him and was wanting to explore things with Ron, and admitted to others that he was "p****d off", and annoyed that Ron would be "smug" about it.

But as Lana told the girls of her plans and about her ending things with Casey, viewers were left annoyed.

While many called her out for her antics towards Casey, especially after the way Ron had treated her, some fans begged ITV to end the "boring storyline".

Having enough of the Ron and Lana drama, repeated issues and the constant screen time for the pair, fans begged the producers to axe scenes with them in.

One viewer said: "please can you stop showing us Ron and Lana. It’s boring and they’re ridiculous people."

Another tweeted: "PLEASE CAN WE STOP WATCHING LANA & RON DRAMA FOR THE 50/11th TIME."

A third fan said: "We’re tired of this Lana and Ron storyline," as a fourth said: "i’m getting bored of Lana RIGHT NOW!!"

It comes amid viewers speculating the producers had a huge motive over their decision to send the latest bombshell into the villa.

Claudia Fogarty will enter the villa on Tuesday night during the episode, and fans have predicted why this particular bombshell has been sent in next.

Ron has liked every bombshell so far, making it clear to original partner Lana that he wanted to get to know them all.

This caused issues with Lana as she had initially wanted to focus on things with Ron, and Ron had told her he felt exactly the same.

Yet every time a new girl enters the villa, Ron suddenly decides they "are his type" and he wants to get to know them.

Not only that but he always insists to Lana that she is his "priority", before telling each bombshell that this isn't actually the case.

Eventually this cost him Lana, who chose Casey in the last recoupling leaving him with a bruised ego, and it seemed that was it for the pair.

Just as a reunion seems to be back on the cards producers have sent in fellow blonde Claudia - and fans are sure it's to continue the Ron and Lana drama.

Every time a triangle seems to cool for the pair, another bombshell comes in - and this time, the bombshell in question looks like Lana.

After Love Island confirmed the bombshell and shared a picture of her, many viewers immediately speculated they'd chosen her on purpose to try and turn Ron's head again, and cause more trouble for him and Lana.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "New girl entering the Villa, you just know she will totally be Ron’s type, dragging the ridiculous Lana and Ron storyline out even longer."

A second viewer agreed: "The producers everytime Ron gets bored of the old bombshell," while referring to the fact another blonde was heading in.

Another viewer said: "Oh look another Bombshell for Ron," as a fourth agreed: "Another one for Ron."

The comments kept on coming too with one reading: "One for Ron!!" as another said: "'She is 100% my type on paper' Ron again for the millionth time."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
