Love Island fans were left baffled by Summer Botwe 's changing accent during Wednesday night's show.
The Casa Amor bombshell, 22, confused viewers of the ITV2 show as she switched from her usual English accent into an American twang at several points throughout the episode.
Summer - who hails from Hertfordshire - is currently technically coupled up with Dami Hope but was one of the three lucky ladies to enjoy a date with new arrival Adam Collard.
Alongside newly-single Paige Thorne and Danica Taylor, the events decor business owner got to know the hunky Geordie over a slap up meal in the Villa - something which clearly prompted her to change her accent.
"The absolute shock of Adam picking summer for a date has gave her an American accent #LoveIsland," one viewer joked on Twitter as the show aired.
Another observed: "She walked into the hideaway with Adam with an American accent, sat through the date with her regular voice then went back to the American accent for the exit. Never seen anything weirder. #LoveIsland."
"Is summer american or is she just putting on a[n] american accent in front of adam," a third asked, with another adding: "#LoveIsland Adam is so powerful that he made Summer American. what is even that accent."
She even continued her American accent when chatting with Josh Samuel Le Grove on the beanbags after her date - further irritating viewers.
"Summer and Josh doing an american accent is the cringiest thing I’ve seen all day . #LoveIsland," one fan declared as she continued her accent switch-up.
Summer wasn't the only islander viewers caught changing their accents throughout the most recent episode of the ITV2 show.
As Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne enjoyed her first date following Jacques O'Neill's exit - and Danica Taylor danced with Adam during their dinner - Love Island fans on Twitter swore both girls also slipped into different accents.
"Why do all the girls turn American when talking to Adam? #LoveIsland," one fan mused on Twitter, with another in agreement: "What is with everyone trying an American accent? #LoveIsland."
A third added: "i'm glad you girls can hear how silly the fake American accent sounds. I hope you will rest now. #LoveIsland
