Love Island: Unseen Bits sees Dami and Indiyah take centre stage

Love Island viewers can't seem to get enough of budding lovebirds Dami and Indiyah, if tonight's show (Saturday July 2) is anything to go by. Fans of the show got to see a little more of the pair's will-they-won't-they romance in a special edition of Love Island : Unseen Bits on ITV2 at 9pm.

Senior microbiologist Dami Hope, 26, from Dublin, is one of the series original contestants. He is currently coupled with Indiyah Polack, 23, a hotel waitress from London.

Tonight's show offered viewers some extra scenes from the last week or so that weren't included when the original programmes went on air. The contestants were seen running away from bees and joking about with one another. We also got to learn a bit more about their personalities.

The Unseen Bits episode centred for the most part on Dami and Indiya's relationship. It included footage of the couple's first candlelit dinner date. And it seems many fans wholeheartedly approved of the producers' decision. Many took to Twitter to share their views.

"Dami and Indiyah are awkward on this date," said Christelle, @fentibetter. Top of da Mawnin', @Teejayy97487435 wrote: "I really love Dami & Indiyah. I just can't."

Harry's main piece, @Harrysmaim added: "We need all these Damiyah content in the main show!!!!" Critic, @WittyCri agreed. "Aww DAMI pulled Indiyah’s chair for her," they said. "We need more Damiyah content!!!"

Oheema, @ItsBetty_Oware added: "God I’m praying for Dami and Indiyah, they must survive Love Island."

Love Island producers, meanwhile, have confirmed the imminent return of Casa Amor for 2022. The iconic flashing neon sign played at the end of Friday night's episode signalling that fans will soon see the famous second Villa on screens.

What that means for the couples - only time will tell. This eighth series of the popular reality dating show in the sun is the most streamed series so far, and also ITV’s most streamed title of 2022.

ITV revealed Love Island is unique in having a "huge 'appointment to view' audience in streaming", with 64% of the audience who stream it on the night of broadcast watching live between 9pm and 10pm, or through 'start again' streaming during the time slot. Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
