Love Island stars who will make the most profit on social media after leaving villa

As season eight of Love Island finalised on Monday night, it's no secret that there is just one couple who took the crown.

Despite Ekin-Su and Davide snatching the win on ITV2 last night, every islander will have gained a massive amount of publicity following their exits from the show.

In fact, it was recently reported by ITV that as a series Love Island has now been streamed 130 million times.

With this in mind, Honcho has analysed how being on the show has affected the contestants' potential earnings through sponsored Instagram posts as of the final week, and how many hours they would previously have had to work in their occupations to earn the same amount.

23-year-old Luca Bish works as a fishmonger with a reported average earning of £12 per hour, making him one of the lowest earners in this series.

Since entering the villa, Luca has amounted to a total of 755,000 followers as of the final week, bringing his earning potential to £6,570.50 per post.

Luca would have had to work an estimated 547.5 hours to earn this amount of money before his Love Island journey.

Paige Thorne has worked as an NHS paramedic for the past two years, reportedly. From her work experience and current position, her salary is thought to be around £19.16 per hour.

However, with her current Instagram followers at 845,000, the Swansea sweetheart is expected to earn on average £7,130 per sponsored post on the platform. This previously would have taken her 372 hours to earn.

Running his own electric shisha business, Davide Sanclimenti is thought to have been earning an average of £13.94 per hour before the villa.

Now, with his 557,000 followers, the ‘Italian Stallion’ can expect to earn approximately £5,040.50 per Instagram post; a figure that may have taken him 361.5 hours to acquire before his Love Island exposure.

Indiyah Polack was a waitress and model before entering the villa, with an average hourly salary of £11.50 per hour.

Now, she is expected to earn £3,643.50 per Instagram post after her followers have grown to 420,000. Before taking part in the show, this could have taken her 316.8 hours to earn.

21-year-old dancer, Danica Taylor, is expected to earn an average of £14.36 per hour in her profession.

However, with her followers amounting to 228,000 since entering the villa, her earning potential per post has risen to £2,018.50. This equates to 140 hours of work in her original field.

Tasha Ghouri, model and dancer, is predicted to have earned the equivalent of £25.64 per hour for her work in her respective creative fields.

However, what may have previously taken her 138 hours to earn can now be made by a single Instagram-sponsored post; £3,552.50. Her follower count currently stands at 410,000.

Next up is Dami Hope. The Senior Microbiologist currently boasts 238,000 followers on Instagram, bringing his potential earnings per post to £2,073.50.

With his previous hourly salary in mind, the Islander would have had to work for 135 hours to earn the same amount.

Andrew Le Page, a Real Estate Agent currently living in Dubai, is thought to earn an average of £20.51 per hour - however, we will caveat that this does not include a commission from sales.

With 236,000 Instagram followers, this Islander could expect to earn an average of £2,114 per sponsored post. Previously, he may have had to work up to 103 hours to earn the same figure.

International Dressage Rider, Gemma Owen, could expect to earn an average hourly rate of £136 before the villa.

Now, the 19-year-old is able to request up to £8,796.50 per post on Instagram thanks to her followers reaching 1,000,000 - the equivalent of 64 hours of work.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu as an actress is reported to earn an estimated £16,000 per episode. Based on an episode taking between 5-8 days of filming, her average hourly salary would sit at £266 after working a 7.5-hour day.

However, as the first Islander of 2022 to reach 1,100,000 followers, her social earnings per post currently stand at £9,518, meaning she would need to work for 35.78 hours to make the same amount as a post.

As a Footballer and newcomer to the villa, Jamie Allen currently has a follower count of just 15,000 and an earning potential of £151 per sponsored post.

This would take him just 6.2 hours to earn in his current profession with an average hourly salary of £24.36.

As Adam Collard was working as a content creator before starting his second Love Island journey, a previous average salary was not available for him.

However, the bombshell has gained 41,616 followers since re-entering the villa this season and stands to earn £8,411 per post.
