Dumped Love Islanders Zara Lackenby-Brown and Jordan Odofin may have found romance together despite never actually meeting up on the show.
The pair – whose brief stints in the ITV2 villa did not cross over – went on their first date last night.
The smitten couple connected thanks to Love Island ’s sister show Aftersun after they were voted off the show 10 days apart.
Jordan, 28, had only entered the villa the day after Zara, 25, had left.
But after Jordan’s appearance on Aftersun the pair used social media to pursue their own re-coupling.
The senior HR advisor, from London, admitted sliding into Zara’s DMs to “shoot his shot” – but was shocked to find her already typing.
He told podcast Love Island: The Morning After, hosted by Indiyah Polack and Sam Thompson: “On Aftersun, I spoke about Zara.
“And on my way home, I was with my boys and I was like, ‘Should I just message right now?’ As I headed to the DMs [it said] ‘Typing…’.”
The pair had a first date last night at Aqua Kyoto in London’s Soho.
A source close to model and property developer Zara shared the pair’s frustration at Love Island matchmakers for failing to link them up.
The insider said: “They never got the chance to meet on Love Island despite making it very clear to the producers that they were each other’s ‘type’.
“So they’re pursuing things in the real world to see where it could go. She and Jordan are both very excited for this.”
Zara left two weeks ago after Tom Clare ended their romance and chose to partner with Ellie Spence.
Jordan went in on February 1 but was voted off nine days later after failing to hit it off with any of the girls.
