Love Island finalists' pre-fame jobs - Davide's own business to Dami's brainy background

From an estate agent to a fishmonger, this year’s Love Island finalists have now left the villa and returned back to the real world.

They are now TV personalities with thousands of followers on Instagram and are set to be inundated with lucrative deals and showbiz opportunities - a far cry from their lives just weeks ago.

Davide and Ekin-Su, Tasha and Andrew, Dami and Indiyah and Luca and Gemma all made it to the final of Love Island 2022.

But what were they up to before the show?

Winner Italian Davide Sanclimenti, originally from Rome but living in Manchester, is the owner of his own business and is self-employed.

Davide's company 'S Deluxe Shisha' provides electronic devices from 'the best manufacturers in the world’ and offers catering services to venues across Manchester.

The company's website shares their aim to provide a 'premium service' to the 'most exclusive hospitality venues located in North West, England.'

Before entering the villa he said: “I’ve realised since I first arrived in Manchester, a lot of English girls actually love me.

“They love to be around me and I love to be around them. It’s going to be fun, I’m looking forward to it.

“I want to find my soulmate, find my person so I can actually build something in the future, grow with them, be a family.”

His winning partner in crime, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, was an actress from Essex but, unlike most of the others, she was already well known on social media.

Before entering Love Island she already boasted over 400,000 followers, but has now earned herself a further 1 million.

Ekin-Su is said to have undergone a non-surgical nose job and had Botox injections shortly before she became an Islander.

She is understood to have visited Dr Mo Hamed at one of his Dr Motox Clinics for some treatment prior to taking part in the latest series of the popular ITV show.

Tasha Ghouri was a model and dancer from Thirsk before entering Love Island.

Before her Island days in 2021, she went as a model for ASOS after pictures of her wearing some mushroom-shaped earrings also showed her cochlear implant.

At the time, she Tweeted: "DATS MEEEE. I’m also modelling their clothes etc!

"So not just doing earrings which is the biggest achievement I’ve done. Proving out there that no matter what disability you’ve got… you can do it."

Meanwhile her beau Andrew Le Page, from Guernsey but living in Dubai, was a real estate agent.

Before his move to the sun-kissed United Arab Emirates, he worked as a personal trainer in his hometown.

He was previously in a relationship when living Guernsey but she decided to stay put when he moved to Dubai.

“She’s doing her own thing which is really good. It just wasn’t going to work so we decided to go our separate ways. We ended on good terms, which is good,” he said before entering the villa.

Dami Hope, from Dublin, was a senior microbiologist which, according to LinkedIn, means he helped provide specialist advice in relation to manufacturing and testing of medicines, medical devices and biological products.

“I’ve been single for four years but my mum keeps pestering me about having a wife and saying how at my age she was already pregnant with me,” he said before villa life.

His partner Indiyah Polack, from London, worked as a waitress in a hotel.

Alongside her city job, she dabbled in modelling - working on campaigns for brands such as Missguided and Oh Polly.

Before entering Love Island she had just over 27,000 followers on Instagram, she now boasts over half-a-million.

“I have been single for some time and I feel like for my generation of people, it’s quite hard to date without being influenced by social media and stuff like that," she said before Love Island and before becoming an influencer in her own right.

Luca Bish has perhaps the most interesting pre-Love Island job of the bunch. He worked as a fishmonger in Brighton.

His image was clearly just as important to him then as it was now to him now as a new TV personality as an unearthed video from 2020 was found showing him flying to Turkey for cosmetic work.

The clip shows Luca’s visit, documenting his pearly white smile before and after receiving the custom-made porcelain fittings.

In the video, which also shows Luca with longer shoulder-length hair, he is seen talking with consultants at the Antalya clinic and picking out teeth shades.

Another self-employed islander is Luca’s partner Gemma Owen, from Chester, who is an international dressage rider and owns her own business.

She will have enjoyed a comfortable home life before Love Island, being the daughter of former Newcastle United, Liverpool and England striker Michael Owen.

She is the owner of swimwear brand OG Beachwear, which her mum is listed as a director of.

Gemma also launched another business before entering the Love Island villa called 'OG Promotions'.

Perhaps an anagram for her initials, the business is said to offer 'media representation services' which could suggest Gemma was preparing for post-villa success.

Only time will tell if the finalists go back to their previous jobs after leaving Love Island.

They face life in the spotlight after leaving and opportunities will be endless, especially for this year’s winning couple.

According to new data, former Love Island series winners earn on average £4,519.05 per sponsored Instagram post.

JohnSlots found that Ekin-Su could earn an average of £5,216 per post while Davide could earn £3,822 per post on Instagram.

Dani Dyer has the most followers of any former Love Island winner, earning her up to £10,093 per sponsored post.

Speaking before the final, a spokesperson said: "As this year’s series draws to a conclusion, Ekin-Su and Davide are currently the bookies’ favourites, with fans wondering whether they will split or steal the £50,000 prize if they win.

“However, it is the lucrative earnings made once the series has finished that our remaining contestants will also be keeping an eye on.

“With former contestants earning upwards of £10,000 simply for featuring a product in their Instagram posts, it is the series winners who will have the best chance of securing their dream brand deals.”

Season 4 winner, Dani, was revealed to be the biggest Instagram earner out of all the show’s winners.

Kem Cetinay is the third highest earning winner of Love Island (ITV)

Based on her army of 3,665,272 followers, the former barmaid from Newham is able to charge upwards of £10,092.55 per sponsored post.

Amber Gill, who was a Series 5 winner, is the second biggest earner. Her account has amassed an impressive 2,715,723 followers, allowing her to charge up to £7,477.74 per sponsored Instagram post.

Finally, series 3 winner, Kem Cetinay is the third highest earning winner of the show, and the top male in the list.

The former hairdresser from Romford has 2,607,328 Instagram followers, comfortably allowing him to charge upwards of £7,174.39 per post.
