Love Island 's Tasha Ghouri is hoping her stay in Majorca for this year's show will be more fun than her first trip to the island when a stomach bug landed her in hospital.
This time the 23-year-old model and dancer will be surrounded by contestants in the villa's swish surroundings.
But 19 years ago, when she was four, a holiday with dad Tarek, mum Nicky and brother Alexander went horribly wrong.
Both children were struck down, along with many others, by a stomach virus in the hotel swimming pool.
Tasha, the first deaf contestant on the ITV2 show, was left unable to eat for 10 days and spent six of them on a drip in hospital.
When holiday reps failed to engage with angry parents, her father hired a lawyer who flew over to seek compensation from the holiday company.
He said: "I dread to think how long the problem would have gone on had we not acted." Mum Nicky said the children's condition was alarming: "They couldn't even keep water down."
The holiday from hell came a year before Tasha, who was born deaf, received a cochlear implant which gave her some hearing.
She told the other contestants in the Love Island villa about the operation soon after she arrived, describing her deafness as a "superpower".
Last year Tasha, who comes from Thirsk, North Yorks, went viral after her hearing implant was clearly visible in an earring advert she made for fashion giant Asos.
Before entering the Love Island villa she said: "If I did win the prize money, it would be a shock. My plan is that I would give half of it to the National Deaf Children’s Society.
"That's been the plan from the start. I have raised money for charity in the past, so it's something I'd love to do to give back a little."
Tasha, who has been coupled with Andrew Le Page in the villa, has described her love life as a "shambles".

But it has emerged that she recently dated Robert Van Tromp - a star of Netflix reality dating show Too Hot To Handle, in which singles have to give up sex in order to win.
They reportedly met in October and were together for five months before going their separate ways.
A source told MailOnline that Robert has since had second thoughts: "He is gutted after seeing Tasha on Love Island. She ticks all his boxes and he had hoped to reconnect with her after regretting their breakup."
