A Love Island star has managed to leave Dubai following three unsuccessful attempts as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies.
Sam Gowland, who featured in the third season of the ITV dating show, shared various videos of himself on Instagram as he tried to catch a flight out of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Gowland, who splits his time between Dubai and Bali, documented his journey from his home to the airport. When he was finally on a plane, he posed for a selfie and wrote: “And we're on!! Dubai - Mauritius. Massive, massive thanks to the UAE government for protecting us & continuing to do so."
The vast majority of commercial flights out of the UAE have been cancelled due to restrictions over Gulf airspace.
