Love Island's Tasha Ghouri 'so scared' on trip to America

Love Island's Tasha Ghouri has taken the internet by storm with her posts about her time at Coachella.

The dancer stole fans hearts when she appeared as the first deaf contestant on Love Island in 2022, placing fourth with her partner Andrew Le Page. She's recently been wowing fans with posts of her outfits and make-up at Coachella, an American music festival known for it's fashion moments, with big name celebrities like Justin and Hailey Bieber, Nina Dobrev, and Kourtney Kardashian.

Tasha also recently posted a video explaining her experience at a music festival, and other similar events, as a person who is hearing impaired. Tasha was deaf in both ears and wears a cochlear implant in her right ear.

Posting on TikTok, Tasha said: "As someone that's hearing impaired I get really really bag migraines and headaches and honestly I get so drained, and it's so hard with festivals because literally like about three hours in I've got the biggest migraine because of the loud music and I'm having to focus in on conversations and what's being said and it is a lot.

"I feel like I want to come on and speak about it a bit more because I feel like there's not a lot of awareness about it. I also get such social anxiety as well going to like any kind of event or festival because I genuinely panic. Like even when I came to America and even like the border, I was so scared that I was panicking basically that I wouldn't be able to hear the questions they asked and I start to stutter quite a lot because my nerves start to come through.

"So I feel like when it comes to festivals and stuff I always panic that I won't be able to hear anyone or like have conversations and stuff. It's one of those things that goes through my head quite a lot, not even just festivals but any kind of event that I go to, I literally get into such like panic-mode.

"Today is the last day of Coachella and I really really want to go, I get such FOMO if I don't go, I with the migraine and the headache, it's a lot, and I just feel like I kinda just need to slow down, roll back, and just listen to myself basically. But I just wanted to talk about it because I know people that have disabilities, I call it my superpower, always listen to your body and don't always push yourself and don't pressurise yourself.

"Always listen to what your body needs, it's so important."
