Love Island's Tanyel shares major Olivia feud that never aired and says they're not friends

Love Island star Tanyel Revan has hinted a feud has been brewing between her and Olivia Hawkins on the ITV2 reality show, as she made her exit appearance on spin-off show Aftersun.

Tanyel was in the ITV studio with new host Maya Jama as she dished on the drama between her and ring girl Olivia over Kai Fagan in the villa.

Tanyel explained how Kai moved from being in a couple with Tanyel to Olivia and stressed she had been happy for them while in the villa – but had since changed her mind.

Tanyel told Maya: “I wasn't going to be selfish, I just thought I'd rather you be happy. She was a good friend to me at the time, so I thought, do your thing.”

Maya pounced on the phrase ‘at the time’, asking what had changed since, to which Tanyel said she had ‘heard a few things’.

The hair stylist said: “We don't know yet. I need to see it for myself, but I've heard a few things.”

Maya said she had been able to sense tension between the two girls, asking whether the Kai situation had changed their relationship.

“Not on my behalf,” Tanyel said. “I was truly happy for her. I felt like I was really selfless in the situation.

“I wanted her to be happy. She's never had a relationship before. I just wanted her to be happy.”

Tanyel continued: “I didn't care, genuinely, because I knew I wasn't going to try anything with him.

“I was completely fine with him, friendly. It was more problems on her side of things that I didn't even know about. It was more things I was hearing about at the time.”

Love Island unveiled the Casa Amor twist on ITV2 on Sunday evening, as the spin-off villa is set to rock the couples, with fresh and fragile relationships put to the test.

This year’s Casa Amor line-up ranges from a female baker from north London to a steel erector from Nottingham who is “repping for the gingers”.

An Irish lothario who is good pals with Love Island 2022 contestant Dami Hope will also join the 2023 cast.

And one new girl has a famous ex in English singer Conor Maynard, who has penned more than one song about her since they split.

A professional boxer, social worker, finance student and a beauty buyer who lives in Dubai also make up this year’s cast.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
