Shaughna Phillips suspects that the heart rate challenge on Love Island is fixed by producers on the show, with her recalling her own uncomfortable experience taking part.
The former islander, 28 - who was on the winter edition of ITV2 dating show in 2020 - had shared her thoughts shortly before the task returned on the latest series recently.
It sees islanders have their heart rates monitored while their co-stars perform 'sexy' dances, with the cast often trying to get their respective partner's pulse racing the most.
Shaughna opened up about her experience whilst she was on the Should I Delete That podcast earlier this month, where she speculated that it's actually a "set up."
She was coupled up with Callum Jones, 25, in the villa at the time of the challenge, with the results alleging that her heart rate had raised the most during his performance.
They were however told that his pulse was higher for another islander, though Shaughna isn't convinced the results are accurate. She commented: "I think it was set up."
"Obviously it would've been a greater storyline that mine went for Callum and Callum's didn't go [up] for me, but I don't think mine went [up the most] for him," she said.
She added: "I'm sure mine went [up the most] for someone else." The former islander said that even though she thinks it wasn't true, viewers got to watch her look like a "t**t".
It's not her only issue with the challenge - which is a regular feature on the ITV production - with Shaughna critical of the way in which she was dressed for the performance.
Shaughna said she "cried" to producers about not wanting to have her legs on display, with her ultimately coming out for the challenge wearing a white bodysuit though.

She claimed to have told producers she'd do "whatever" they wanted as long as she could wear trousers, tights or thigh high boots - though said she had "none of that."
Shaughna said: "I was really struggling with swollen legs because [of] the different altitude [in South Africa]. I was crying because I felt like rubbish [and] was embarrassed."
She was already self-conscious about her legs as she was suffering from then-undiagnosed lipedema - which is an "abnormal build up of fat" in the legs according to the NHS.
The latest instalment of the challenge prompted tension in the villa with Tasha Ghouri, 23, upset that Andrew Le Page, 27, didn't seem to have his pulse raised the most by her.
Similarly, Paige Thorne, 24, was concerned that Jacques O'Neill, 23, was said to have had his heart rate raised the most by his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen, 19, in the task.
ITV declined to comment.
