Love Island's Samie Elishi has bared all in her most recent YouTube video, addressing her recent breakup and a cancer scare. The 22-year-old who appeared on the most recent series of Love Island filmed the 17-minute video from the passenger seat of her car reports OK!
The reality star - who is currently visiting fellow contestant Claudia Fogarty - became emotional in the clip, which saw her discuss health. Admitting she never wanted to share a statement on her Instagram story, the star said: "I never wanted to make this video.
"It is intense. Me and Tom have broken up. It's ended on good terms.
"No one's done anything bad to each other, there's still lots and lots of love there. It just wasn't working on the outside and we both agreed on the majority of the things.
"There's no bad blood there, me and Tom. I would never say a bad word about him and he wouldn't about me."
The star continued: "We just weren't working on the outside. I feel like when you come out of the villa you've got so much pressure and so many other things to worry about that plays a huge factor in a relationship.
"It was just a lot more difficult to maintain outside of the villa."
Samie went on to explain the reason she decided not to post a statement on her Instagram stories straight away was because she was going through "personal stuff" which led to a cancer scare.
"I thought me and Tom were going to live happily ever after but life happens."
Sharing how she realised she had a lump in her neck during a dinner with Millie Court and Chloe Aromolaran in the days following the breakup, she said: "It's a 5cm lump on my thyroid."
Samie told her followers medical professionals graded her lump a "grade 3" which means they can't tell for sure if it's cancerous or not and it's a "grey area".
As a result of the lump, the Love Island bombshell is going for surgery to have half of her thyroid removed.
Starting to cry again, an emotional Samie said: "Basically what they do is they cut your neck... I shouldn't be upset because I'm so grateful that people messaged and I've caught it now. I'm so grateful.
"But it is still obviously really scary. I'm a young girl, I'm realising how common it is now. I even saw Demi Jones went through it."
Samie told fans she's going to share her journey because she wants to help others and it's so "important we all know about these things".
Samie then discussed how bad the timing of her break-up has been, as she's being tested for cancer after Love Island fans spotted a lump on her neck during the series.
