Love Island's Rosie Williams shows off secret hair transplant procedure

Love Island star Rosie Williams revealed her secret hair transplant surgery.

Rosie entered the Love Island villa in 2018 as a bombshell on day four, coupling up with Adam Collard before sadly being dumped three weeks later. After her time on the show, Rosie says her mental health severely deteriorated as high levels of stress caused her hair to thin and even leave bald patches in some areas.

She contacted the UK's leading celebrity hair transplant surgeon, Dr Matee Rajput , to carry out the procedure after positive feedback from Love Island co-stars.

At the time of the procedure, she said: "What upsets me the most is that every time I wash my hair, I end up sitting on the floor in tears with chunks of wet hair in my hands that have come out of my scalp and I have no idea why. Hair loss isn’t something I would wish on anybody, It’s completely impacted my overall happiness and confidence - and following Love Island I was blessed enough to have a lovely following on Instagram that I no longer wish to share myself with because I’m so embarrassed of my hair."

Seeing effects take place 22 months later and her mental health on the mend, Rosie said she felt obligated to discuss the situation with her fans. She said: "My hair is like it’s a different person's head. I’ve never experienced growth like I have done in the past 22 months. I think with hair transplants, it’s so widely known of being a man's world - that’s all you hear about males losing their hair because of age and how they naturally recede. It’s never really spoken about that women also experience thinning, they also can lose hair because of stress, hormones, pregnancy."

She added: "I just feel like for women, you become more ashamed because you feel that it’s not really spoken about and if you are losing your hair, you are abnormal because not a lot of women talk about losing their hair. It’s so important that women feel more confident in talking about the struggles with their hair as well and what you can do to fix that."
