Love Island star Martin Akinola didn’t mince his words after being brutally dumped from the ITV dating show on Friday night.
The Irish hunk – a good pal of last year’s Love Islander Dami Hope – learned he was going home when Tanya Manhenga chose to couple back up with Shaq Muhammad.
But poor Martin had no idea Tanya was planning on dumping him as he said she didn’t give him a ‘head’s up’.
Instead he found out about her decision in the final minutes of the show which meant he was going home.
In his exit interview, the 27-year-old software engineer from Dublin threw shade at Tanya and Shaq saying he didn’t think their relationship was genuine.

He said: “Genuinely, I think Shaq might be in love with her. But I don’t think she’s in love with him.”
And Martin doesn’t think the couple will work on the outside – saying Tanya, especially, will find it hard to resist temptations.
Explaining how he felt about Tanya’s brutal dumping, Martin continued: “She followed her heart – which was fair enough – but she went about it the wrong way.
“That’s what I had a problem with. I felt like I needed to know before her little speech at the bridge.
“She should have told me earlier and given me a head’s up. I feel I deserved that little bit of respect. I didn’t get that. That’s why the row happened.”
Martin insists there are no hard feelings between them, but isn’t backing Tanya and Shaq to win.
He said: “I told her [Tanya] good luck and I wish her and Shaq well. When I left the villa as well I said good luck as I saw she felt so bad. She did what she had to do, she just went about it the wrong way really.”
Asked if he ever had a problem with Shaq, Martin added: “Yes it got awkward sometimes, but we never had a problem.
“We handled our issues as men, very mature, we never had a row or words with each other, none of that. We just talked things out. I never had a problem with Shaq.”
Instead Martin thinks it is farmer Will and Aussie girl Jessie who are set to win Love Island this year.
Asked who he thinks is the most genuine couple in this year’s series so far, he shared: “I would say Kai and Sanam. Or Will and Jessie.
“Maxwell and Olivia are fairly strong but not as strong as the rest of the couples. It’s still quite fresh, still quite new. But I think they will go the distance. I’ll be intrigued to see how they work on the outside though.”
*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and catch up on ITV X.
