Love Island's Luca Bish says he's a 'better person' and 'doesn't need anyone' after show

Luca Bish reckons he's a "better person" after leaving Love Island and embracing single life in the wake of his split from Gemma Owen.

The former couple hit it off on Love Island last summer, but called it quits just three months later.

Luca, 23, admitted he was blindsided when Gemma, 19, broke the news on social media - even though the couple claimed it was a mutual decision.

The former fishmonger had a tough time on Love Island after being criticised for being too possessive with the dressage rider.

He now admits he finds parts of the programme difficult to watch.

"I see it as a lesson," he said. "I've learned a lot about myself when watching it back, some I like, some I don't like. You go from there and you become a better person.

"Before another relationship I want to make sure I'm happy with my life and that I don't need someone else to make me happy."

With rumours swirling of a Love Island All Stars, fans are wondering if Luca would give it another go.

"I don't know if I would go back," he told Closer magazine, before adding: "love is on the back step for now and I just want to concentrate on myself."

Luca recently told fans he was 'more than enough' when he shared a photo of some delicious homemade pasta.

Praising his culinary skills, he captioned the post: "As if I didn't bring enough to the table I can also make homemade pasta."

However, it seems that the whizz in the kitchen needn’t worry about his lack of admirers, as Love Island star Anna-May Robey admitted she had a crush on him.

Describing Luca and Jacques O'Neill as her type, she admitted to having a soft spot for the pair, teasing: “I wouldn’t mind if they came back to the villa."

Luca was then spotted liking Anna-May's Instagram pictures before she joined the show.

His ex Gemma is now busy with her Pretty Little Thing range and is also said to be in talks about starring in a Kardashian-style reality show with her famous family.

The TV star and retired footballer Michael Owen, 42, are said to be in 'advanced talks' regarding a potential reality TV series focusing on their life in their palatial £4m pad in Cheshire.

It's been suggested the potential at-home-with-the-Owens reality show will follow Gemma's training preparation for international dressage competitions.
